buy a better support bra and do some light weight (about 3 pound bar bells) exercises.

It's just like a pap smear. No big deal. All women should get an internal or well woman check up once a year. You lay back, scoot to the edge of the table, spread your legs and they insert the duck lips. It is uncomfortable, but not painful. Talk to them and let them know if you feel pressure or pinching. It usually takes 3- 5 minutes. Your symptoms all sound normal for pregnancy Good luck!

Okay not to scare you or what but usually the back pain gets worse towards the end. I suffered from back pains throughout my pregnancy and I find the following helps: -

1. Changing your footwear. Use comfortable footwear like from Clarks or Timberlands with cushioning support. No heels please if you are suffering from back pains at this early stage.

2. Strengthen your back. Go to your local gym and see a personal trainer. He/she will be able to help you with appropriate exercises. I did this and it really helps plus you are stronger to push the baby during labour!

3. Sit up straight and use a back support if you work long hours in the office.

4. Do stretching exercises at regular intervals during the day and before going to bed.

5. Sign your husband up for massage lessons and give you a back rub when you need one!

6. Put a hot pack on your back

7. Sleep sideways with a pillow in between your legs.

Enjoy your pregnancy and I hope I am able to help you with these tips.

Try sleeping with more cushioning, maybe 3 pillows or 1 big body pillow. Take some warm baths, not hot. Soothing but try not to raise your body temp more then a degree or 2.
Try not to lift to much and dont go around barefoot, as foot padding will help your back as well.

i went through the same thing with both my pregnancies....

ideas:

1. tylenol

2. heating pad

3. try sleeping propped up. when you sleep on your side, your shoulders roll forward all night, stretching the muscles across your back. this can make them achy the next day. but you're not supposed to sleep on your back! if you prop yourself up on pillows, you can sleep on your back safely, while keeping your upper back relaxed.

4. the doorway stretch. standing outside an open door, place your hands at head-height on the doorframe. then start walking through the door, allowing your arms to be pulled back. this stretching across your chest helps take some of the pressure off your back muscles, improves your posture, and counteracts some of the downward pull of your growing breasts.

good luck!

I got a video on aerobics for pregnant women. After a little exercise, my pain went away. Be sure it's for pregnant women so you don't hurt yourself or your baby.

You can ask your doctor if massage therapy would benefit you. Or, if you're uneasy about being massaged, ask the doctor if he/she can refer you to a physical therapy clinic for your back pain...also, what kind of pain are you having? Is it sharp or dull? Does it hurt more when you move your arms...what direction do you move your arms in? Some moist heat might help if its muscle aches...

Get used to it. It will be like that for the next 16 weeks.

you can take tylenol. i recommend massages from a trained pre-natal massage therapist. you can use a heating pad on its lowest setting. use a pillow between your knees while you sleep on your side. get a yoga dvd for moms, i found yogamama on amazon. stretching really helps. make sure you are not on your feet too often. use a pillow to support your back while you are sitting. wear comfy supportive shoes. relax!

I'd suggest sleeping with a pillow between your legs. I would try that and see what happens.
