>> an .exe file is an executable file (means that it will do something) .. usually a program. Once an .exe has been run .. or installed. It is gone/used. (unless you save the actual .exe. file to your computer).

.. If you want to remove a program from your computer ::

-- Start > Settings > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs

*IF* you're asking what files you can disable that are running when you start your computer you can go to this link and type in the file name and get an explanation of what the file is and what it does.......

.exe files run your programs.
Do not delete any. They should be cleared after you remove a program properly through Add/Remove.
