Unless you're physically unable to do the job, I would hope that every employer in the Washington area would be willing to hire you. They're required to give you equal treatment during the hiring process.

After hiring, they must give reasonable accommodation under the Americans with Disabilities Act. Any accommodations an employer makes for you should qualify as business expenses, which are tax-deductible.

Perhaps I'm being too optimistic, though...

In particular, I suggest applying for Federal jobs -- disabled people get a preference bonus in their hiring process. See http://www.usajobs.gov/

You might also be able to find a local resource agency for people with your particular disability (blindness, etc.) and they may have lists of employers who are known to have hired folks with similar disabilities.

Good luck in your job search!
