Yes, I get your point. I felt the same way at some point of time. But it was always just a thought, because you get so tired cleaning it up, especially if you have a basement or arttic that you have been using as a store for sometime, and if the house was passed down to you by some ancestors....
But to re-build a house is no joke, it's a lot of money and effort. Even before you do so, you are suppose to clear your things anyway!
My suggestion is do clutter management. Get a friend or someone close to help you. Go through all the things... Throw away things that you don't need or have not been using for 2 years.. It will make you feel better after that.
It is quite iconic when you keep holding on to things that is useless, for the just-in-case situation, you will also tend to hold on to matters in life that makes you unhappy. You have to go through personally, assess it, and then decide to throw or keep.

I understand what you are saying
take one room at a time
Do what ever it takes to clean it
even if you have to place all plastic
in scalding hot water to soak in your washer
until the water becomes warm.
Get massive black plastic bags
Break the habit of collecting so much and
think about the renewal of your home
Get ideas from Tv on rearranging
ask your friend to help with ideas
be creative .
Dishes are the horror of the home
If you have too many start getting rid of them
and have a cute set of dishes
and a nice set of pots and pans
get rid of the rest just box them up and place in your garage
Too many clothes
box them or dump them
If you have others who are living with you
Then you just have to pray
because this will be a very long and very tiring
road for you.
Come to know things like well if you are on a budget
look up recycling places for paint
and hey buy material $1.00 a yard at walmart
cover an old quilt and make curtains to match for your bedroom
Redo a piece of furniture
You can take a table and cut it down for a coffee table
if it is wood and is unique
you can do many things
find the creativity in you
And do not for get about the dishes in the washer
that are soaking in bleach water
At the end of the day
Calgone will take u away and your skin will be so silky
I hate to say this but I did take an ax to things
my kids were tearing up
sure did ...
my teenage boys almost drove me insane
Suddenly everthing started looking good
once I took out the trash
and went to some garage sales in the city
And storage sales

Ha ha yes, I know what you mean! Spend too much time looking around wondering how to get rid of the clutter than actually doing it. I am a terrible procrastinator and get bogged down by the papers, laundry, and stuff in general.

LOL. no, not really, we have a maid that does that for us.Plus my mom is like the dust police. When the maid leaves she's like "inspecting" all of the furniture and stuff. But she loves to clean and cook, so if something's wrong she'll do it.

All the time. I always wonder if things would actually look better in the basement (Where my kids reside and have their play room) if I was to throw a stick of dynamite down there.

My best friend called me today and said she was trying to clean out her bedroom. She said she looked around and it looked like she went to a yard sale and bought everything!
