I didn't buy the books I am just curious if you think this guy was trying to rip me off. It was a college kid from another country and ask me if I had kids and tried to sell me books for $80. He said I could pay half now and half later. I told him I have to ask my husband and he told me to go call him. I said I couldn't and he ask why like it was any of his buisness. Also I didn't let him in my house because I live way out in the country and was home with just my two year old. He started acting like a smart ellek when I told him I couldn't spend that kind of money. One more wierd thing he told me he was hot and ask for something to drink I thought that was wierd but I still didn't let him in I shut the door, locked it, and brought it back to him. Do you think this was a potential scam?

i was once a "door to door home-cleaning-liquids-salesman" during my school years...i used to sell dish washing liquids and stuff like that.....
i used to talk a lot ONLY when it seems like the customer is interested.
One day a lady looked very much interested, and she even brought her kids to inspect my stuff with her...i thought that "i just made it" and i might take a nice holiday with that money.
But after my mouth went dry from talking, they just gone inside thier house, and said: "we're not interested...we were just curious to know what you're selling"....and she shut the door.
I said -inside my mind- "you lady stink and you smell like an elephant's butt"...then i went outside and sneaked to the electricity switch board outside thier house and "disconnected the electricity" from thier stupid house.
How about that? :))))))
By the way, i was only about 15 that time

Seemed like he was more into doing something worse than a scam. Hope you have a mean dog. You are not obligated to talk with anyone that comes on your property trying to sell anything. You should have called the sheriff. Thank god you're ok

i don't know, i had a similar experience with one except my husband was home tg he was very pushy so i let my husband Handel it:) we started to think about it later and about how many books we go through and were wondering if we made a mistake in letting him go.. but i certainly agree with you about not letting him in!!!
