"more than" previous answerers means + unless the word "is" preceeds "more than" - you do not use the greater than symbol here

the sum of a and b =a+b
the ratio of a and b =a:b
a subtracted from b =b-a
a more than b =b+a
a subtract b =a-b
a times b =a*b
the total of a and b =a+b
divide a by b =a/b
a divided by b =a/b
a of b =a*b ( of is multiplied by like 1/4 th of a=a/4)
