You can do seasonal work. I used to work in a factory in Holland picking and packing flower bulbs for a U.S catalog. We worked really long hours for nearly three months and with the money we saved, went travelling for the rest of the year.
P.S Teachers have to do a lot of work in their holidays.

Try construction... you'll have your winters off. You could also start your own seasonal business... if you love snow skiing, you would work all winter and be off during the summer.
