My boyfriend and I used to to live in NC, where we have a beautiful 3 bedroom home. Last November, my company offered me a job in NYC, so I moved into an apartment in NJ. My boyfriend stayed in NC, with the hopes of getting a job here. He hasn't had any luck yet. In June, I was laid off.

My lease says I have to give the landlord 45 days notice. After I lost my job, I gave him a written notice explaining my issue. And he called me, and offered to lower the rent in order to help me until I found a job. I have been on several interviews tho. Do I have to give him written notice again (starting the 45 days start period over)? OR can I just tell him, I appriciated the offer for temporary reduced rent, but since I haven't found a job, I will be moving out the end of August????

My b/f doesn't want me to give up and move back to NC. Am I being realistic or am I giving up? Our mortgage payment, taxes, insurance is half the price of the rent!!! What do I do?

If you provided the written notice at 45 days according to the lease, I would not think anything further is required.

Call your landlord immediately and verify he knows your move-out date. Perhaps refer to your copy of the notice.

Think about your decision and go with your gut instinct. Are you happy in NJ? Do you see job prospects there and not in NC? Can you see being unemployed another 60 days with the reduced rent? You can do this....

Good luck.

If 1/2 the relatives approves of the flow, and it truly is more cost-effective for a more effective more desirable room, i'd say, bypass for it. Getting more effective for his funds might want to be an progression to his existence. Now how about the food? Are they complete food or snacks. Do they get fruit each day. And what about pill dispension. Is someone in cost of that, to get rid of blunders. some places have the overseeing of an RN. yet besides many places won't be able to arise with the money for the amenities. And does the dispenser of the pills, placed on rubber gloves for sanitary causes? there's a lot to think about formerly you displace him. make constructive he can manage the transition, so he doesn't get afraid after shifting. I actually have a pal, who died 2 days after her flow. She grow to be dealt with badly by technique of team in that wing, and she went right into a catatonic options set. And did not understand her daughter. and then she died the subsequent day. So weigh issues heavily.

Keep your home! The job market is not easy. Go back home, that's not giving up it's being realistic. At least this way, you won't be paying rent and a mortgage with no income.
