I have the second pick in our fantasy football draft. I'm assuming Larry Johnson goes at #1. Should I take Tomlinson or Alexander with the 2nd pick?

Pro's and Con's of both backs:

-Shaun Alexander

For him- First, the passing game lost touchdown machine jurevicious so that'll help everyone on the field (but the QB) in fantasy. Next, there's not a quality backup behind him. How many times have you heard RB Morris before? Finally, the guy's coming off a record breaking season...

Against him- ...without his All-World guard Hutchinson. That's the biggest concern.

Lowdown- He'll definitely get in the top-5 in Fantasy. He's not too much of an injury concern, however, the loss of Hutchinson definitely hurts. Alexander is more of a really, really good trade bait player.

- L. Tomlinson

For him- Well, lets see: New young QB means he'll be the main support. The less comfortable Rivers feels, the more he'll hand the ball off to LT.

Against him- Last year he had a nagging injury that took him out (statistically) of the final 4 games. Also, he has an up-and-coming backup RB to steal some points away.

Lowdown- L.T. is the safest bet in the top trio of backs. Also, don't get scared away by the San Diego's backup RB... I read that the Chargers are planning to line up L.T. as a receiver whenever he doesn't play RB.

LaDanian Tomlinson. Draft him because he didnt lose any of his blockers like Shaun Alexander did. Also Tomlinson can catch the balls out of the back field as a reciever and score touchdowns that way as long as about 15 on the ground will gaining 1,500 yards.

I am no expert but I think Jason Alexander can whip on Lily Tomlinson any day of the week so go with Alexander!

Alexander!...True LT is more versital but you have a QB that isn't proven so not only could his receiving game be hurt, but the Def will key on LT more until Rivers can prove the LB's have to stay home...again I would pick Alexander...His blockers will do just fine...his speed is what hurts Def's, not his tackle busting!

Alexander. I like how some are saying LT bc seattle lost a guard. san diego lost a QB. they will be running alot more often and teams will know that.

I would pick Alexander but he's not the only main player on the team because you have Hasselbeck and his receivers, but I would pick him over L.T. because of Alexander's numbers last year.
