The easiest way would be to visit her in Russia, make sure that you have sufficient evidence that you have met (photographic, written affidavits, &c) and to ask her to marry you (and be accepted, of course). Then she would be able to get a Fiancée's Visa and would be able to enter the country permanently, provided that you were as good as your word within (I think) 90 days!
She would then be able to obtain a National Insurance number and apply for work.
There are temporary ways of getting her to England involving Visitors or Student visas but it depends on what grounds you want to help her to come to the UK

send her an invitation (an official one through the embassy) and she will get the visa. and don't forget - ask her to marry you.
