First of all, you were never created. You always existed, since beginning-less time, just in different forms. As far as this life is concerned, absolutely, the moment you are conceived you begin getting closer to death. Death is a part of life. You are dying at every stage of your life.

I don't accept that. Inasmuch as dying is a process, i think there is a point in one's life where the irreversible action of dying (the process) comes into play. For some, that point comes when the bullet enters their bodies. For others, when a cancer makes its first appearance. Up until that point, all systems were go. From that point on, the dying process continues until it completely takes over.

It is true that all living things must die. That is part of the nature of life. A larger part of life is living or rather, being alive.

Yes. At every stage of our lives we are dying. It is the living that we need to concentrate on. Carpe diem. Seize the day! Live like every day is your last. Love like every day is your last. Think of your legacy every day and what your headstone would say. Take some time and write your obituary. You would be surprised at what you come up with. I bet you change how you live. Be happy and make those around you happy! It could be your last day on this earth. Good luck!

One day closer to death, as Roger Waters puts it ;P

Yeah, you are dying from the moment you are concieved. It's just that you are only "dying" in the medical sense if your vital signs are decreasing rapidly.
