Pandora's Box is a story from Greek mythology. In the story, Pandora's curiosity causes her to open a box filled with all the diseases, sorrows, vices, and crimes that now afflict humanity. All the evil things escaped before she could close the box. Afterward, one more "thing" begged to be let out of the box. That one last thing, which she did let out, was Hope.

It's an old story about curiosity. When Pandora's box was finally opened, all hell broke loose. The moral of the story, if someone says something is bad for you, then believe him.
