Are you sure you're eating enough calories? When you're on a diet you have to be careful and make sure you're not cutting TOO many calories, otherwise your metabolism will slow down, thus you keep on the weight. Try eating 6 small meals a day instead of 3 big ones and keep drinking water. Doing this and staying active should melt the pounds right off of you! Good luck!

I heard that if you're stuck on a plateau that you should revamp your diet a bit. Look and see if there are things that were okay before but that you can can cut out. Or even just see if you cut back a couple hundred calories a day (depending on how much you're already eating...if you're only doing, say, 1500 calories now, then I wouldn't go any lower than that). Otherwise, step up the exercise a bit and maybe change your diet around. I have heard that your body gets used your food sources and you should "surprise" it on occassion.

Oh, BTW....jsut reread your question and you say you're too heavy for your weight. I don't always go by that. Are you healthy for YOU? Cause when I was younger (and smaller. ahem. lol) I was always on the heavy end of what charts always said was "normal and healthy". I should be 140 lbs but I was usually 150, and no matter how much I exercised or ate right, I could lose weight (and keep it off) to save my life. I finally figured out that 150 was my personal healthy weight. So use those charts only as guides, honey, because that's all they are. How do you feel? How do you think you look? Go by that. Fat is truly in the eye of the beholder, because I'm a size 20 and my husband says that I'm while I'm not small, that he doesn't think I'm fat either (and you'd have to know my husband to know that he wouldn't lie to me).

Good luck! Love yourself for who you are....and forget people who say you are perfect exactly the way you are.

Your exercising routine may have become too efficient/inefficient (depending how you want read this). Let me explain...if you've been doing the same routine for a long period of time, the body will naturally become efficient and burn less calories. Thus, the routine or method becomes INefficient for losing weight.

PS Another secret is to go to bed hungry; something best done by FIRST preventing the hunger pangs that would normally keep you awake. This is best done with "THINS" (www.PreventionProof.com). Upon request, they'll send you a nice information sheet!

You must burn more calories than you take in. It's as simple as that. If you have to calculate that out. Go to the library and get a book that lists the calorie content of all the food you eat. Diabetic carb counting books generally have calories listed as well.

Please see your medical doctor first for an examination then I recommend you walk every day and gradually build up to walking for 40-60 minutes a day. I believe you will begin to lose weight this way. Take the weight off SLOW. If one does not take it slow the weight tends to come back quickly. Take care.
