okay im 14 gonna be in the 8 grade and im i to old to get braces all my friends have already had theres and have gotten them removed but i still want and need mine should i get them or get invislign????????????????

14 isnt too old to get braces, i work with a lady that is 43 and is getting braces. as far as which ones to get, that would have to be a presonal preference thing, such as, which hurts more, the regulars or the invisilign? will you have to wear them the same amount of time? which are easier to take care of (keep cleaner) etc.

There was a fourty-three year old woman in my orthodontist office the other day. She had just gotten braces put on. You're not too old for braces. I know a ton of people that are older than you that just started treatment. I don't recommend invislign.... They don't work as fast. My best friend started invislign like a week before I got regular braces. I got mine off 4 years ago, and she's still wearing invislign.

I feel the same way - I'm getting braces at the end of August and I'm going into 9th grade. I would get braces - not invisalign. It makes more of an impact when you get your braces taken off than when you can stop wearing your invisaligns. You aren't too old - I know 20 year olds who have braces and are just grateful that their teeth are being fixed. Good luck!

NEVER be afraid to get your teeth repaired. You will be too old to have braces when you don't have any natural teeth left - It would be a waste of time and money. I know people in their 30's getting braces because they did not want to get them when they were younger. Just get the braces and get it over with.

No, you aren't too old. Two friends I work with have braces, and they're 24 and 30. Just think, when the braces come off you'll have beautiful, perfectly straight teeth.

I got my braces in August before 8th grade.... hopefully I'll get them off soon, but that's not the point... you're not too old. I have friends going into their junior year just getting them, you'll be fine. Get regular braces, they can be trusted.

no i am gunna go into the 8th grade and i don't have braces. my family can't afford them right now so i will probably get them in high school. nothing to be ashamed about. i know a 43 year old women that has braces.

You're never too old to improve the way you look. If you need braces, for goodness sakes, go for it! And since your parents will be paying and paying for them, please let them have a say in what you get. You've got a few years to go until you can be earning your own way, living in your own place, making all the choices.

I know how you feel, im getting braces too, i am 14 but don't be ashasmed because when you get older you wil be happy you got them. Even some adults at age 30 get them.
