Squirrels are basically tree rats. They look cute but are very destructive and hard to get rid of. Keep all garbage cans covered, leave nothing eatable outside, including bird seed. Remove trees if you can. You can live trap them but you have to take them at least 7 miles away or they will find their way back.

squirrels are smart and can figure things out. Get a dog. they will take care of it or borrow a friend's dog for awhile.

Feed them away from the Garden, I think they like Bird feed. they are hungy and they most likely are gathering food for winter.
