I married my husband on Aug.6th, 2006, and was shocked to have my family show up to our ceremony, dispite their belief that untraditional marriage (ie. man & man) isn't morally just. What a wonderful surprize to have them arrive minutes before the wedding took place. Pictures at: http:// transairn.livejournal.com / 105653.html

All of my family, and his, came to the wedding. It was wonderful... on the beach in front of the Royal Hawaiian hotel in Waikiki. We just celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary in May (10 years together as a couple). Congrats on you're wedding...I hope you have a wonderful life together!

I think your wedding looks wonderful.
I doubt I will ever get married as I have some serious issues with myself which will stop me from ever being happy (also I doubt any girl out there would have me!) If I ever get married I would like it to be either very grandiose with at least a hundred guests who would include my family or a very intimate affair with two or three people who would not include any relations.
I wish the two of you a fantastic future together.

How wonderful for you and your husband!
My parents did come to my wedding. It was a wonderful thing. They have always been supportive, as well as many other emotions that they have shared (and not) with me. I am sure there was rejection, anger, hurt and the lot...but they always showed me the face of love. I have been so lucky in that regard.
My poor catholic, republican parents! LOL. They were there...and we have pictures. We caught one of my dad looking absolutely freaked out by the whole thing. But irregardless of how they feel about my orientation and my marriage, they showed up and have given tons of support to me and my wife

I too, was very fortuneate. We didn't have a huge ceremony, but it was very nice just the same. We had 85 people attend, and both families were there. We should consider ourselves truly blessed, as many of our counterparts live their lives without those who are "supposed" to be family, simply because of this issue.

I'm hoping to someday get married. I hope they come even though a lot of my family think little of my boyfriend but they have NEVER met him although they know he exists. I shouldn't say a lot. I'm only out to my mom and her gf (lesbians) and to all of my friends and one of my brothers. The rest don't know and the only perosn who questions me is my aunt but she's really stupid and thinks that if a girl uses sex toys, she's a lesbian. We all know that this isn't true.

My mum would definately be at my wedding ,my dad (rip) may have had a few words to say but he would've been there too.
My brother would be happy for me but I dont think he'd show.
