Its absolutely wonderful, you get the finest food - the menus are impeccable, chairs that recline and a soft blanket. They offer you steamed face cloths to refresh you, and of course champagne or the finest earl grey tea. And its so far away from steerage you cant hear the screaming of the plebs crushed in like battery chickens. I love it - and its totally fair.

If you have the chance do it. I was up graded once on a plane. Marvellous. Steerage good too if your nice to the staff. It is fair that if you pay more you get more, and always the chance of an upgrade for all

It is Wonderful!! But not worth the difference in the price, in my opinion.
A few years ago, I was travelling with my son and daughter from San Diego to St. Louis on American Airlines, a return trip, and we were bumped to first class because there were only 11 people on the flight, and ours were the first 3 tickets purchased for that flight.
We were served a delicious steak dinner, and all the wine we wanted, without any extra cost for the drinks. The seats were very roomy with lots of leg room as well.
I think the difference would have been about $300 per ticket, and I really don't feel that I would have paid that (if I could have afforded it) to have that extra luxury.
But it was Wonderful.

Well, I've never traveled second class, so I don't have an answer. No, I'm just kidding. I've never traveled first class. But I can imagine, being spoiled, in a high dollar environment , all sorts of specials, drinks, eats. Yea, just for the 5 hour flight, that element, will be higher then the Plane can fly.

It is focking great, no bloody plebs in first class. Only us high class bast4rds lounging in the lap of focking luxury !
Steerage, is for twots and the poor only and us peers of the realm sit in the leather and velvet clad luxury of first class and we all join together and sing `Fock the poor ! Fockem up their ars3holes..` as we swig champagne from pint glasses and eat truffles and caviar by the bucket load like the true high focking class toffie nosed counts we are.
And we do not have to pay for it ! It all comes out of your taxes, or we get given it because we are focking priveleged, you sad ars3holes !
Fair for some to to travel steerage ? Of course it is focking fair ! You are poor..we do not want poor people near us, sh1t man, we might catch poverty off you.
OK ?

Exactly the same as travelling 2nd Class except you've got an extra bit of padding on your seat and natty curtains. In answer to the second part of your question - Yes it's fair if they are fool enough to pay through the nose for it.
If they can afford it, let them have it if they want it. There's no point in getting narked because they can afford to do what you can't. And what have they achieved for it? Nothing. You've both got to the same place at the same time, so leave them to get on with it.

OMG! First class is the best traveling experience. I got to fly first class from Kona, Hawaii to ALASKA! It was AMAZING! I was sick so i didnt eat, but the chairs were awesome. I aint a TINY girl, but i could curl up in the seat and it even had a little foot rest. It was nice. Then another time from Kona, Hawaii to Washington. I got hot fudge sundaes and LAMB and all kinds of drinks and the service was awesome. I definetly recommend it if u can afford it. I was just lucky to get placed in the first class. But that made it all more special.

Traveling first class on a plane is okay. You are seated first and get alcoholic beverages first along with a cloth napking rather a paper napkin. You are sitting in a bigger more comfortable chair than the coach class. You are getting a little more leg room. Everything they are offering on a plane you get first. Maybe, that's way it's called First class.

when flying first class it is nice, when you board the plane your seat is to the front, so you dont have to walk down the aisle looking for an empty one. The newspapers are normally available and something light to eat. The curtains behind you allow you privacy and comfort if you are snacking and the other passengers are not. When you leave the aircraft and enter the baggage area, your baggage arrives first, so there is no waiting around the conveyor belt.

Yes it is fair, same as it is fair paying more for a better tv and getting a better tv,
The differance depends on what you are travelling on, in a plane it is alot better in a train, not much differance.
