I don't think there is a state that will replace a title via the enternet, however most will via the mail. You would actually be changing the car to your name and receiving a new title with your name. They won't send you a title of the prior owner (unless you lie, not worth the possible jail time). Go to your states DMV web site and down load a duplicate title form. Send this in with your bill of sale and... This could go on forever, If you can go to DMV or a DMV alternative and be done with this.

You should post this in the insurance registration category and tell them what state your from and you'll be sure to get a more accurate response.

Well it probably was not a Brand New car if it had a lost title and NO whomever you bought the car from has to apply for a lost title if the sale was legit and he/she did not rip you off. Good Luck!!

I don't think so. Go to a Bank that handles these things. Get a form to fill out. Most banks will help. Mail the completed form to the sectary of state..

You can't get it on line. Go to the DMV and they will give you the proper forms to fill out.
