They go up the stalks and destroy the flower and the entire plant. They're cute, but not when I've spent all summer trying to grow these flowers. Thanks!

Plant some green onions or other allium plants around. They also work in flower pots.

decrease the suitable out of a milk carton and position it over your planted seeds in the backyard. be constructive and push it into the airborne dirt and dust a minimum of an inch. Then position a rock or brick on the suitable of it and this way the squirrels cant get to the seeds and the cartons will act as a greenhouse. be constructive and eliminate the carton for customary watering and then replace till the plant reaches about 4 or 5 inches in suitable. wish this helps, good luck!

There are products like Rid-a-Critter, Shake Away and others.
Most of them use fox urine in them. Critters won't come around it
because the smell that another animal has claimed that area.

tie a bell or bells to stalks the higher the pitch the better it'll work.

glass bells work very well. some in these parts western pa use a couple alumin pie pans on strings make noise to scare squirrels.

I used to think it was cool to have squirells hanging around my house until the chew holes through my garbage can lids to get into them. But last year a hawk decided to make a nest in my neighborhood....no more squirrels.... :D

It's nearly impossible to do. I suggest you smile at the fact that what you've worked so hard to achieve is now supporting your surrounding wildlife. You're feeding nature. What were you going to do with the seeds anyway?

Put some food out for them, and include some Sun Flower seeds- lol they are hungry, so feed them. Or they will help themselves.
