I have to go for protein in my urine. Do i have to get undressed? Is it like a gynocologist exam? I dont know what to expect.

Im not diabetic and im not on a low carb diet.

I saw a urologist several years ago for frequent and severe utis.
She did a rectal, vagina, and visual exam, as well as testing my urine and ordering lots of miserable tests.

You will have to pee in a cup, he won't give you a rectal exam since you don't have a prostate. But he might want to touch
your abdomen and send you for an ultra sound and blood test
to check if you're kidneys working right etc. Don't worry even if you have to undress they provide you with a sheet and you probably can leave your underpants on.

Probably not. . . you'll have to provide some more pee for analysis. Are you diabetic? Have you been trying to do the low carb diet?

He may give you a rectal exam to feel for your prostate and you will probably have to pee in a cup.
