"Of course the people don't want war. But after all, it's the leaders of the country who determine the policy, and it's always a simple matter to drag the people along whether it's a democracy, a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism, and exposing the country to greater danger."

History has so many lessons to learn from and improve on, but the willfully ignorant are the reason society keeps repeating these mistakes.

Another Nazi quote was from Hitler Himself: "What luck for the Leaders that men do not think." It is scary but so true at the same time. These people, as well as all leaders that seek imperial conquest for more power to satisfy their greed, know how to manipulate the masses to get what they want. The tragic thing is that so many people are willing to bow down to nationalism and forget to do what's right for mankind as a whole.

Yes. to some degree. However, only because people have always wanted to be sheep and follow there master rather than question things and think for them selves. its easier. Even though many speak out against the wars an other things, there are not enough willing to fight for there beliefs. If you stand in front of an army as one man or women, you might make the news, but you are still one man or women. What i'm saying is you can not stand alone if you are out numbered. no matter how many people believe in something there has to be more of them than those they are standing against. It is right, at least until people think for them selves.
