My BD and I have been on the rocks for some time. I really want to let go...what should I do?

We've been together for 7 years and I know I deserver better but meeting people is all so new to me and no matter what I wind up back with him, I know he's not right for me where should I start?

Instead of heading into "dating", start by heading into making guy friends. Go to more social events. You don't have to leap. Be casual and take things naturally. Don't go cold turkey by completely dumping him or dating someone new. Instead, focus on transitioning.
