There are species of toads who secrete a hallucinogen in there poison glands. I haven't tried licking any toads, but there is mention of using toad skins in some Chinese folk remedies.

i don't know if it is really done. (aside from on an episode of the simpsons). there are poisonous species of frog, and i imagine that small doses of some of those poisons would provide a hallucinogenic effect... but you would probably be better off sticking to more conventional ways of tripping.

Toads secrete poisons to discourage predators. Annoying the toad and rubbing it (or licking it) will release some of the poison. It's psychoactive in small amounts.

Yeah... I don't know the details. There are certain breeds of frogs that secrete toxin from their skin. People can lick them and have hallucinations or they can die.
