Yes it is. It also has one of the best soundtracks of all time. I think that's why it is so great.

No, I don't think so. It's more like one of the most formulaic attempts to a great teen movie. It would make my "good teen movie" list, but not "greatest". I mean just think about it: if you put a list together of the greatest teen movies, you would start with "The Breakfast Club", "The Goonies", "Sixteen Candles", "Summer School", "Say Anything", "Mystic Pizza"--movies like that. Would you really put a movie with Julia Stiles in it on the same list as Molly Ringwald or John Cusack, two icons of GREAT teen movies?

definately one of, i thought it was excellent. The cliques in school may have been exaggerated but not as much as we'd like to beleive :P And Julia Stiles is rather hot but it's a great show of teen stuff. The "geek getting the girl" is a bit suspect for me but at least he didn't behave a real geek

Nice movie, cool update of the Shakespeare play, but I prefer the classic with Richard Burton & Elizabeth Taylor ("Taming of the Shrew" -- for those who missed the parallels...)

Good soundtrack, tho!
