Do what you like!! It's a very individual hobby. Make it suit you and your pics. Don't feel like you have to follow any specific rules, but if you're looking for design tips there are several good books, websites and magazines out there.

I would suggest checking out somewhere like eBay for a starter kit someone has assembled. Or go to their Want it Now section and describe what you might be looking for. Lots of times people who have been doing it a while know what's good, but also have so much they'll part with it for much less than stores would. And if you're like me, there's not a lot of stores near me for variety of materials.

Good luck and Happy Scrapping!

Check www.creativememories.com
You will find various Memory Keeper Collections that you can purchase to get started.
Be sure to only use products that are acid free/lignin free/ and the scrapbook pages are buffered.

well defintely start with a blank scrapbook, stickers, photos, cute paper, coloring utensils, etc etc. there are definitly no rules in scrapbooking, its all your imagination! if you need a little inspiration you could always look online at sample scrapbooks, or usually at scrapbooking stores they offer classes that teach different techniques and layouts.

i'm not sure where you live or what you have near you but if you have Michaels or even target sometimes, or other craft type stores have kits. then you would need tools, scissors, adhesive, paper... if there is a scrapbook store near you, try and take a class or join a group. i like to learn techniques from other "scrappers".

The best place to start is having pictures. Get a good camera and take pictures that you want to keep.
