What sort of animal is your ex?
Is he trying to take revenge on you using his children?
Just because he is the biological father, he has no right to demand such a thing because it means that he wants to neglect the fact that he is the father no matter what the attorneys can say.
Gee, what a world!
Never listened something like that...
Think further than your own situation; think in your children and the psychological consequences that the insensate of the father will bring to them. Having a father that wants to give up his fatherhood is against nature. Trying to do it legal, I would sell one kidney to prevent that.
I believe that you are involved in so many troubles that you are not able to see the real magnitude from the problem.
Is not only about money (that is also necessary to raise the children) but also about principles.
You are sure they are his children, then go and fight for your rights and the ones of your children.
Did he ever mistreat you, emotionally or psychologically?
Dear, get some legal advice.
Once thing is getting divorced from a woman, another is to file a divorce from the children. How can he achieve that if the children have both parents, does he ever see them?
Be strong, and go for some good legal advice. If you ever reported to be mistreated, then this is the right time to present charges- if not done before-
What he wants to do is against nature and will mark your children for life.
Good luck , put that sucker in his place.

Seek out a family law attorney, pay the retainer, have him petition the courts to relinquish the biological fathers' rights... NOW let me tell you if you do this....THERE WILL BE NO more child support.....no more sharing of the childrens medical, schooling expenses. ONCE the court approves this you can't come back later and undo this...so make bloody sure you know what you're doing before you sign off this bio-fathers rights!!

Contact your county district attorney. Their office should be able to direct you through the proper channels. Basically, he just needs to sign paperwork drawn up by a attorney relinquishing his rights.

get a lawyer and ask him/her what you can do. I am not sure about the way to go in the states. You lawyer will probably draw up paper on giving his rights up to your children then he will have to sign it and i will that is about it.

Start at your City Hall Vital Statistic Department where they distribute the birth certificates. They may be able to help you or refer you to the correct department. And then again---I agree with Cheryl B!

Most states do not allow a parent to sign their rights away unless there is someone there to adopt them. You need to check the laws in your state.
