Just make sure the Dr.'s office knows it a week early. If they were aware of it when making the appt. then it should be fine. My son has gotten shots a bit off schedule without any problems.

Make sure that your doc's office is aware that the appointment is a little early. I don't remember what the 6-month shots are offhand, but some need to have a minimum amount of time pass before receiving the 2nd or 3rd round of the series. Depending on the schedule of his previous immunizations (a little early or late), you may have to wait a little longer.

Definitely call your doctor's office to be sure. They know the schedule and should have your baby's records available to verify everything.

My son had his a week early. We were moving to a new state and we wanted him to have his immunizations and see the doctor one last time before we moved. He actuallly had his shots two weeks early. We lived in Michigan at the time, and their are certain immunizations that can't be given early. Luckily, the six month shots weren't the ones you can't give early. You should call your ped's office back and ask the lady who answers the phone. She can either ask a nurse or your baby's ped. and tell you this.

I have a 2 year old daughter and the doctor's let her get her's early a few times. It is not going to harm your baby at all.

If you are really that concerned tell the doctor and get the appointment changed but no it's completely safe.

Good luck.
