I went to T in the Park for the weekend with camping tickets. It took me and my friends 4 hours to pitch the tent. Over the course of the weekend someone puked in the tent and onthe last night someone set fire to it. By accident I hasten to add. I lost a rather fetching pair of shoes and the remains of my alcohol. Not the best.

My husband and I were asked to work at Reading rock festival last year by a friend. We had never been camping before and my husband popped into Tesco's and came back with this box that had a tent, 2 sleeping bags and 2 sleeping mats, all for £20.
We were delighted.
We got to the festival and met the rest of the team we were working with then put up the tent.
It was like it was a novelty tent and kit for kids, infact, with me at 5'10 and my hubs at 6', when we laid down our feet were sticking out the end.
How the rest of the team laughed, the 2 biggest people with the smallest tent.
This year I bought a 6 man tent with 'sitting room' area so it could never happen again.

hello i have just returned from a weekend camping holiday. it was a convention called Circuswurx, its known as the friendliest convention in the uk, its based around learning circus skills although there is a whole host of other things going on. there is a cabarat show in the theatre and then a fire show after you can learn juggling or you learn diablo or all kinds of things and there is a games contest on the final afternoon. i loved the whole experience even though i dont know anythinng! everybody is so frendly and a weekend ticket is less than £20 you actually camp outside a proper theatre and you can have a shower orr wash insid eand there is a cafe as well as outside catering vans absolutly loved the experience and am going back next year!

Oh boy do I have one for you!!!!
My husband and I decided to go on a one day canoe trip and nether of us had done it before. He put me in the back (not knowing that is what steered the boat) The water was rapid and we were all over the place. He saw a tree branch and ducked that branch hit me in the chest and nearly took me off the boat. Then we went to the other side and his ponytail got caught in a tree branch and almost ripped his hair out before we could get it removed. Then to top it off he got attacked by black flies which we found out he was allergic to, his hands and arms swelled up so bad you could not see his knuckles.
Although it was not funny then, we have gotten some big laughs out of it over the years.

I once let my mate pitch my tent while I got the supplies from the car. Mighty sharp rocks made a site for my tent!
Once my mate Chris and his dad went camping with this guy Bruce who snored so loudly that they had to sleep in the car with the windows closed 500 yards away.
Once when I was camping at a convention a drunk, and very hot, nude girl got into my tent in the middle of the night - she was from 4 tents down but had got up for a pee and had mistook my tent for hers... I was annoyed to be woken up by her stepping on me but when I saw she was pretty lost and naked I was not angry with her and lent her my coat and helped her find her tent and her boyfriend.
Another time Dave left a sandwich in his car while on a weekend trip and it was so hot the sandwich rotted and stank like hell in his car.

awww thats so sweet that she invited the kids over for marshmallows.
There are alllot of funny things that have happened to us camping but I think the funniest thing I can remember is when lesli was all hopped on valium and she was sitting in a lawn chair with brandon's big flashlight..which she wasnt suppposed to have because he told her she'd run the batteries down. She was shining the light into the sky and watching the bats come down and eat the bugs that flew infront of the light. Well this one bat came down a little close and she lunged sideways in here chair and fell over into the fire. She didn't get hurt, just a couple of marks on her hand and when she got up in the morning she didn't want to tell her husband what happened so when he asked her abouther hand she said..I just scraped it on a log.
Another time we were kayaking and I found this tube floaty in a log jam. So I went over and got it..we took it where the water was kinda low and really rapid. We walked up and was goi ng to float down these rapids with it..so Amy went first. She's pregnant..flops down on this innertube, and floats down it pretty well. Well..I didn't want to wait until amy walked back up the rapids to bring the tube...so I laid on my belly and just tried to float down. About halfway down I got my shirt caught on a stick and it flipped me over and nearly drown me. I got up caughing and laughing and hurting. LOL Then it was lesli's turn. She gets the tube...plops onto of it..and heads down. She gets caught on the same stick that got me..it flips her and the tube over, poking her and hurting her also. But she gets up laughing.
ANOTHER Time....no im kidding. I'll shut up.

I have just started and dont have any stories yet. Our next tent neighbours this weekend woke me up at 1.00am fighting with eachother threatening to stab eachother, it really scared me. I am just so glad that my son did not wake up or I think that he would have been very upset. We are going to Chedddar at the end of the month and I am hoping that we have nicer neighbours then.

One time, when camping, I got in the night for the bathroom. It was dark out and I was sleepy and I heard these other guys talking, that's when I realized I was in the MEN's ROOM! I tried to sneak out so no one would see me, but I'm not sure if I succeeded or not! I was so embarassed!
