That once you can accept that the universe is matter expanding into nothing that is something, wearing a plaid shirt with striped pants comes easy.

Hey with a display picture like that, I can surely imagine the universe is matter expanding into nothing that is something, wearing a plaid shirt with striped pants.

Because...at that point we realize the plaid shirt and striped pants, being part of the universe, are also expanding into nothing that is something. Then the mystery begins to unfold as we eagerly await the outcome of what that something might be that the plaid shirt and striped pants become.

Wearing a plaid shirt with striped pants will cause you to expand into nothing. So for God's sake, take the damn things off!

I wear old skool 3 stripe tube socks , and know that the universe is an unknown entity. We know that the universe is expanding because most of the celestial bodies that we observe are red-shifted (the color of the bottom and top stripes of my cool-*ss sox),that means they are moving AWAY from us.
Anything moving TOWARDS us is blue-shifted (the color of the middle stripe of my cool *ss sox).Very few things are blue shifted.
By all indications you are correct.....except for the plaid shirt/striped pants thing.

lol... nice, but no, I can't agree because the universe is matter, and Something is expanding into a space that has "much less" matter... and wearing plaid with stripped pants is just wrong.

I think you can wear whatever you feel comfortable in these days. Other then that, I'm too tired to come up with a better answer. Have fun ~

So too does joyous homicide accompany apathy at the brink of infinity, which is why we must be wary of the interpolations between inert matter and us living, interactive creatures.
