COLD WATER...but it has to be done immediately...If it's an older stain, I use OxyClean. But if you like to clean green, Borax might work and it's less toxic.

I usually use tide. Pour it directly on the stain. Let it sit for a while (I've let it sit from a few minutes up to overnight...depends on the severity of the stain). Then wash it regularly. This has worked for blood stains among other things...i.e. red fruit punch down the front of my white shirt!!

peroxide works great. A dentist office I know uses it when a spot of blood gets on the patient's shirt. They dab it on and then use the cap or other stiff object to rub until the stain disappears.

The best thing is to get the blood asap and put it in cold water. I guess there's all kinds of stain removers out there, so check em out.

Soak in Oxy Clean. I've dealt with this as well and this is the only product that seems to work consistently. Soak the garment(s) separately first, then add two scoops to your wash load in the machine.

I use Carbona Stain Devils for stains. It comes in little yellow bottles in the laundry aisle at Walmart, etc. and they have different numbers for different things. One of them takes out blood. Others do different things like mustard and ketchup, grass stains, etc. #5 takes out fat, grease, and oil!
