u can buy a deco key stone, its thinner than a standard key stone and the top is notched to fit over th arch course.....

if your refering to real brick there is a wrong and right way to do this. Typically key stones are above a opening. Typically within a soldier course, or an arched course. The best thing is to go in with a diamond tipped circular saw, or a rotozip and cut the location of the keystone out. slip in a keystone and regrout it. I dont' suggest gluing on one over the existing brick it wont look right.

Yes, anchor the stone to the brick just like the brick is anchored to the house.
