Would a newer one from a Granada or Fairmount with a 200 work?

I've used a Pertronix Ignitor before - this thing just drops in like a new set of points.

Later electronic distributors will work, but you will also need an ignition module if it is not built into the distributor. While the one from the donor car will work, you can probably also adapt a GM HEI module.

you could always go the route of getting your distributor from a newer vehicle but i would recommend getting a aftermarket electronic distributor you could always get parts for i wuolod also reccommend pulling the 200 and putting a 302 in the falcon will be reall fun to drive on the open road

theres several things you can do. but the cheapest and probably easyest would have to be a pertronix kit it replaces your points with an electronic diode and runs off your coil by hooking up 2 wires one to the poss. side and one to the neg. side of the coil and setting the air gap with the supplied feeler gauge and replacing the cap and rotor and whamo your now electronic. easy i did it to a scout that i had and runs great. each kit is specific to the car year and motor so no probs there.

you mean an electronic distributor, a newer model should work but you can buy a kit that will convert your stock distributor, makes it easy when you need parts and you dont remember what year car the distributor came off of ...........
