North means, "in the direction of the North pole," so from your perspective, there is no North. In fact, there's no East or West either, since those are lateral directions and you can't move laterally. So there's only South. North isn't an absolute, it's relative to your position on the planet (for example, there's no North in outer space).

Are you talking Geographic North or Magnetic North ?
If you're on the geographic north pole and you want to know where magnetic north is then the answer is South.

north is directional... where you are facing is the north.. if you want to know where north pole is, although you are already standing on it, then you've become crazy... but in addition to that, north is actually the direction where the COMPASS is pointing to..
