Ok I am enterting 8th grade next week. Earlier in the year near the end of school i had my dad send an email to the school counciler about who i would like to HAVE in my class this year and who i do NOT want in my class (just a few names). We have this system that we can check our homework and etc. on the net. When i signed on (today) i saw that there was only 1 person i mentioned that i wanted to have class with. But EVERYONE i mentioned that i dont want to have classes with are in ALL of my classes.
What should i do? I cannot even be in the same room as them beacsue they always hurt my feelings and are very racist. Most of them say hey (their friends name) look at that white crap head over there who is a teacher's pet.I know my dad sent the email beacuse i was there when he sent it. What should i do now? I have a goal of doing very well this year but i assure you i WILL NOT do well with these people in my class. They are people who always disturbs the class, come late & bother

Well that is quite a compliacted problem but I'm starting to think that the teachers did this on purpose. Most of the time when people "request" for certain people to be in their class then they take that as, "If those people are together they'll cause trouble." That or they might think you're being racist or mean to the people who you don't want in your class. Now I'm not saying that you are either of those, because quite frankly I'd like to think you're not but you're most likely going to have to face it for this year and hope for a better class asingment next year. Life isn't full of roses all the time, you've just got to roll with the punches.

that's odd - it would have been the other way where I was in school. I don't know about middle school - but soon you'll be in high school. If you do well in 9th grade you can get into advanced classes and AP classes (if your school is a good one). Those classes will be harder but I loved them way back when because the idiots were not in them.
I know that doesn't help you this year. I would try to transfer to a different school. If the kids are really being racist and the teachers ignore them, then I would also say get a lawyer. It may sounds extreme - but hey, its the american way. The teachers and staff pay allot more attention when their pocket is in danger.
Good luck - hang in there a few more years.
College was awesome, by the way.
No one cared what you looked like or what you were wearing.
:-D

I have never heard of getting to pick who is in your class. Does not sound very realistic.
If they are harassing you make sure to talk with the school until you can find a solution.
In the mean time remember that it happens to most kids in school unfortunately. I had a very hard time of it as well because I was fat. But looking back I remember others, who I thought had it made, getting picked on too. I just did not see it then because I was too into my own problems.
Also try to find a way to feel sorry for them, they are obviously miserable people to be so cruel. Happy nice people do not treat people badly. They also sound jealous. Try to focus on your grades and fun activities with people you do get along with.
Being in school is really tough, and it is a shame that so many adults forget how hard it can be. But you are not alone it is hard on everybody, maybe some more than others, but no one is immune to hard times, some just hide it better.
Life does not get much easier, so look at this as an opportunity to develop coping skills. There are a lot of ******* when you grow up too.
Good Luck!

I think it all depends on what exactly is bothering you. If it bothers you that these people are racist, or if you can't concentrate well with everyone against you, I have one suggestion:
Learn some sort of martial art. Not just for 'fighting', but for the self-confidence, positive outlook, exercise, friends and respect that comes with it.
Or... just outdo them all. Find something your really good at (*anything*) and be the very best. Trump it up in their face, but not enough to make them angry... just a little jealous.
Hope everything works out.

Your teachers can't really do anything, because then they would be accused of being racist. think about what the most likely reason is that they put you in class with all those people. they want you to resolve your issues with them. If that's not possible, ask the principle to switch classes. Tell her why, and she probably will. If she doesn't then you should switch schools.
Good Luck!

Unless your dad is the mayor of the city or the governor of the state, he doesn't have the power to make that type of request and expect it to be honored. I know you might not want to feel like you're being forced to leave the school, but I think you should transfer. Tell your dad; I'm sure he'll agree and you'll probably be much happier.

go tot to administration and tell the person at the desk that you need to see the principle it is your right to get a fair and safe education , explain that your parent sent in the letter and that you are going to be unable to complete you studies in the environment as it stands and you would like to transfer to another class it would be best if you could bring a parent to add his weight to your argument and to show you are genuine and if you can get in before class starts on the first day so that the others don't hound you about jumping from their class .

Ignore them. If they are ignorant enough and not happy with themelves then they will pick on you. They also know that it bothers you. Show them that it doesnt bother you by ignoreing them and focusing on your school work and your life. If it gets too out of hand contact your teacher and principal and explaint to them what is going on. Its is actually verbal abuse and maybe bring it up to the principal instead of the councelor.

Usually when you ask to be with someone they will not put you in the same class. Assuming you are friends and will talk a lot or something. The opposite is true of people you do not want to be with.

send e-mails pretending to be your dad threatening lawsuits if the school doesn't do something about disruptive, bullying students. maybe remind them that school killers like in columbine were bullied students (hint, hint). or learn to ignore others. seriously, it is very easy to allow others to distract you from what's really important. screw those monkeys. probably turn into crack ho's or meth heads anyways.
