Hamster? free to about $20, depending if you're foolish enough to fork over $20 for a hamster. Usually 5 to 10.

Cockatoos are several hundred to a few thousand, depending on the variety.

Quite a spread there! A hamster should be able to cost only a few dollars. But a good cockatoo will run you into the hundreds of dollars, I think.

HAmsters cost about 8 or 9 dollars at Petco. I dont know how much cokatoos cost

Hamster- $2-20
Cockatoo- $1000-3000+huge ongoing expenses

Hamsters are inexpensive.....six or seven bucks and up.

Cockatoos, on the other hand, are incredibly expensive, usually starting at around $1200.

Unless you meant cockateil, which is a much smaller bird, and these start at around forty bucks.

go look at the pet store, hamsters are usually less than 10 bucks, but their cages/food/bedding/etc. cost alot more.... cockatoos are more expensive
