Your idea is good!
Put the tickest or whatever the gift in a paper bag. Or but a not in the local paper with a message to her like....since Paper is traditional for a first anniversary I am putting this in the paper....
I love you always..lets celebrate our anniversary on a cruise....etc.
You are one good man! You are definatly worth more than the paper this is written on.

it is your anniversary. You both opt to spend it at the same time. The inn and spa are tremendous thoughts. Get a sitter and also you both income from the evening and relax. you may discover that with you there you'll both be re-energized. If this were her birthday then by technique of all skill, a inn stay/ ladies evening out might want to suffice, yet it truly is a particular get at the same time for both one in all you. I recommend getting the room having some plant existence presented there and then suprise her by technique of taking her to the room and function the voucher for her spa treatment waiting and prepared. i'm hoping that you and she have an rather good existence at the same time. And congratulations on the toddler.

HUUUUUUGGGGGHHHHHH!! I would be mad if my husband gets me something from that old fashioned list! Unless of course it is a trip to Thailand or India. Maybe then I will be happy. Our one year anniversary is in Sept. I am really hoping that he will get me some really nice jewelry! I want another ring for my other hand, like a big ruby or something. For my six month anniversary he told me to be ready with an overnight bag and one nice outfit. Surprised me and had a limo come and get us. The limo driver was not allowed to tell me where we were going. Then we ended up 1.5 hours later in downtown Chicago at a really fancy hotel (the drake) He booked a suite not a regular room and took me to a really fancy dinner that cos ted 300 dollars! It was the surprise elemant that got me thougha. Make sure that its a surprise!

I was thinking of a trip.. Maybe a day or two, not too many but just enough to get away from the day to day life of being at home...It would also be nice if you could somehow surprise her with it but calling her boss and putting in the vacation time for her if that's possible, then telling her about it the night b4 the trip.

Take a weekend trip to San Antonio Texas.
Stay at the Westin hotel on the river walk. it is very romantic like Venice Italy.
Have dinner next door at the Contessa Hotel on the outside patio. It over looks marriage island where people get married and engaged ALL the time.

If you're the husband, you don't really have to do the traditional thing. Women love jewelry. However if you're doing the paper thing, the airline ticket is a great idea. I think money is tacky. You're on the right track. Congrats. ~

Hint - give of yourself. About 10 years ago my father, a workaholic, began to take the day of their anniversary off from work. He would spend the entire day with my mom, going to movies, shopping, taking her to lunch and dinner. Just an entire stress free day devoted to showing her how much he loved her. Now, my parents are pretty well off but I can tell you this, if you ask my mom what her favorite gift ever has been, she will tell you it was just having my dad all to herself. She realizes the sacrifice he is making and it's all for her.

Personalized stationary is the first thing that comes to mind, but is terribly archaic in the days of e-mail.
A trip would be good...somewhere she's always wanted to go.
A gift certificate to a spa, maybe. You know what your wife would like.

Your idea sounds great!
You could have a special poem framed for her, Or you could have a favorite picture blown up and framed for her. Or you could like buy her a super present and attach it to some sort of paper origami.
Blessings To You & Yours
