Chamomile has excellent calming and soothing properties. It is used as a sedative for nervousness, headaches, anxiety, and hysteria. It is also beneficial for colds and flu. Its antispasmodic properties benefit cramps and spasms, probably due to the easily assailable form of calcium found in it. One tablespoon steeped in a covered cup of boiling water with two slices of fresh ginger is reported to be a very effective treatment for menstrual cramps and other pains and spasms. Just look at the site it says a lot.

Chamomile tea is a good choice. You also can try Tension Tamer tea (made by Celestial Seasonings). You might want to get some Vitamin B-complex night time supplements - Valerian herbal supplements work well for sleep, too.

Yes. Chamomile has a calming effect. You could also buy some lavender essential oil and mix a couple drops with some vegetable oil and use that as a massage oil. It will help to relax you, too.

I used chamomille tea! It was great but you have to make sure you drink it 30 minutes to an hour before you want to fall asleep. Be careful though, it makes you drowsy.

yes, a nice warm cup of it about 20 min before bed, should make you nice and sleepy..add a little milk into it..of course this doesn't work for every one, if you take it after a nice relaxing warm bath, you should sleep the night away..unfortunatly..nothing short of a benadryl before bed makes me tired.
