isnt it terribly cold for August in England. Ive had my central heating on.....wearing winter woollies, fleeces and fur lines slippers and THIS is August in England!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They did predict a heatwave throughout August... at least I'm not alone in feeling the cold then?
... coat back on again today, so far, no central heating though... thought about it earlier and must admit... it's getting closer by the hour, only the enormous rise in my last gas bill, slowed me down:-(

Whats the matter with you lot, what are you gong to do when winter comes?
Enjoy the summer, but don't blink, if you do before you know it, it will be dark at 4pm, cold, wet and miserable again for nine months!
Go rain bathing or something, but cheer up, winter will be colder.

It’s a bit nippy but not that bad! I even have my window open.
I guess summer is a state of mind….. I won’t let the sun go down on me so easily!

this has happened in the u.s. as well (midwest). a couple of years ago we had the parents visiting from florida in august, it was pure nonsense for them.... we had to use the furnace for several days, even had to wear fall outer wear to do yard work. when they left for home it started warming back up, it's been a family joke. it can and does happen, but rest assured, this will soon pass. brrrr will soon become "dang, it's hot!" take care!

its been gorgeous in edinburgh. Gutted, after spending 3 nights camping in the wind and rain in east anglia! I went south to escape the normal scottish weather. You just never know...

Yes I am afriad it is cold now, as that is what global warming does to our planet, mind you at least it is cooler now then it being nasty, and hot!
