I think they need to legalize LSD, but not let people take it too often.

Every culture in the world has drugs as part of the culture (or it's on the fringes of the culture, but lots of people use them.) I personally have never used any illegal drugs or psychedelic or mind altering drugs or designer drugs that aren't yet illegal. I have no desire to experiment and I definitely don't want to get hooked on anything. My reality is altered enough just by being mentally ill. I guess everybody likes to experiment and take risks to some extent, and drugs do that for some people. Not me. And it's not true that since everybody does them, there's nothing wrong with drugs...but I will say that drugs aren't necessarily brain-killing evil poisons that destroy your soul. There's a lot of propaganda out there making drugs out to be demonic and dangerously unhealthy. I'm glad I don't make drug policy, because I'd have a tough time putting standards on drugs. Some people have a great time on illegal drugs and never abuse them. But some people die of alcoholism, which is a perfectly legal way to die. You can't make people have self-discipline with laws--there are people who will do a thousand illegal things to get their illegal drugs, and some people who have standards and morals and control themselves. I don't know. It's a good question and one that a lot of people don't think about very rationally. I've seen people get messed up on drugs, really mess up their lives, but you know, if they didn't have drugs, they'd just f**k everything up some other way. The people who have problems with drugs usually have other problems to begin with.

There is more to this existence than most people realize, and it's good that you see that. Just try to stay alive while you are exploring. Some of those things can kill you, then you wouldn't get to tell us what you know. Try meditation.

Evolution must have done all things for a reason. Drugs (or their plant forms) were designed to make us happy. So you have to try things to enable you to make an informed decision before you go shooting your mouth off and condeming it! eh.
