You can dye leather, obviously as leather is sold in many different colors, and is generally tanned from the hide of some animal (who wasn't that color in the first place).

You can put a pigment in PVC, but not after whatever is made from the PVC is already made. It has to be done before it cure.

If that is what you really want to do,then I would advise you to have a professional do it because they have more experience. Besides if it can't be done they will tell you. On the other hand if they accept it then they take full responsibility, and if they mess it up they have to pay for another. As for you if you make a mistake then you are just S.O.L............If you don't want to go through all the hassle then go buy the color of leather jacket that you want...GOOD LUCK,with whatever you decide!!!!!!!!!

The simple answer would be no,certainly not very successfully.Leather is cured and coloured through the tanning process, once cured it cannot be readily re-dyed properly and PVC is pre -dyed during the manufacturing process !
If you try to dye these two material now it would be like painting over glass,it might look ok initially but it will soon flake off and look terrible !

i have dyed leather shoes and handbags before but it might come out patchy and ruin a good jacket because the bottles of dye are small so you might not get ones that match exactly.

i should think it is impossible to dye PVC

You can, but I wouldn't start with a dark color (which your jacket probably is) and I'd leave it to the pros to avoid damaging it.
