Can you have sex before the 6 weeks if you had a c-section if you use protection?

I barely waited 2 weeks after I had both of my kids!

No because you run the risk of opening up your incision inside as well as outside not to mention u still run the risk of getting an infection. You are supposed to wait 6-12 weeks after a c-section to do anything, including having sex.

Doctor's recommend waiting 6 weeks to ensure that everything has healed and returned to normal. My husband at the time was never able to wait the whole 6 weeks though. We made it to maybe 4 weeks.

Yes you can, provided you're not bleeding anymore, and you are feeling up to it. The incision is very deep, so even if you are healing well on the outside, you could still do damage. Take it slow, and stop if it's uncomfortable at all.

hi,, usally around 3 weeks after delveriy if u feel up to it and not bleeding,, just remember to take contracepton...as u are highly fertlie after having a baby:) hope this helps and good luck
