I would of loved to meet ,Cristobal Colon, explorer of thr new world ,who had the dream ,the spirit, the courage to sail oceans unknown at that time ,with only a compass and his faith. We ca not put ourselves into the minds of the 14th century, we must accept that it was a meeting of two cultures, and that we are here today because of Colons dream and courage. Today when we ste out ,we know where we are going, maps ,computers, phones etc; but those men went out with a compass and following the North star, .I would also haved liked to meet, Luther Standing Bear ,a Rosebud Sioux Indian who had this to say; We did not think of the great open plains ,the beautiful rolling hills and the winding streams with tangled growth as "wild". To us it was tame. Earth was boutiful and we were sorrounded with the blessings of the Great Mystery. What profound knowledge!

Martin Luther King,Jr...his influence in equality for all races was phenomenal. Elvis Presley...what a voice and a hottie. Helen Keller for her incredible courage. There is just too many to list, the way people have shaped our today in history, is mind boggling. From inventors...cell phone, electricity, microwave ovens, indoor plumbing, telephone, t.v., automobile. We are so fortunate to have these modern technology at our disposal. I 'd of hated to of lived back in the day without these luxuries. Yet, they say those days where simplistic and more peaceful. Greed and Anger prevails in our era.

I would love to sit down with Brother Malcolm X and his wife Betty Shabazz as well as Dr King and Coretta. I would want to share their insight and ask them how come all of mankind just can't get it together, and for Dr. and Mrs. King why are their children arguing so bitterly while they raised them to love and treat everyone with dignity and respect. I bet they're looking down from Heaven with a heavy heart right about now. Maybe not in our lifetime, but for the sake of our future generations, they can look back on others who have given the ultimate sacrifice for truth and justice for all people so that they can move forward.

Ben Franklin. But if I were him I'd be bored stiff with myself.
Bret, you are being too crisp with Ben. When I read his comment I laughed out loud for the first time today and it's late afternoon.
