Yes, it is more rare, but it happens. The signs are the same as a woman in most cases. A lump in the breast, when you try to move it feels fixed in place, there are other kinds of breast cancer too. Advanced breast cancer causes dimpling similar to an orange peel. But some people get something that is not cancer that makes your breasts hard and somewhat painful, usually boys going through puberty are the ones who get this. But Girls can too, it is harmless. If you have concerns go to your doctor. Breast Cancer is serious but can be treated and cured, and maybe it's not breast cancer and you can just get peace of mind.

yes, men account only for 1-2% of all breast cancers. They usually have a mutation in BRCA2 (a DNA repair gene). Breast cancer in men is usually v. responsive to treatment. It would be found when it already pretty advanced and shows symptoms of general illness. (I guess you could do a home exam, but if I were a man, I would be much more worried about prostate cancer, the chances of you having prostate cancer by the time y ou are 70 are 1 in 2. )

Yes, anyone can get breast cancer. I work for a group of Drs. that treat cancer patients and without "nameing names" we currently have 7 patients (who are men) that are being treated for various levels of this cancer. EVERYONE, SHOULD BE TESTED FOR THIS CANCER...DON'T BE AFRAID TO EXAMINE YOURSELF...doing it in the shower or lying down, start in small circular motions and if any bumps or hard spots are noticed...see your doctor asap.

Yes they can and you check like any other person would, Just lift your arm above your head and take two fingers and move ina clockwise motion around your nipples.Remember breast cancer also includes the area around your armpit and upper side, not just the typical breast and nipple area.

Yes, it is possible. But it is VERY, VERY, VERY rare. Best thing way to detect it is do what women do regularly. Do a breast exam. You will have to ask a woman on how to do this.
