Obviously it's gaining 2 points, as i am answering you and getting those 2 points. But if i have some question and if i have the points, why not? I mean, will i have those points there forever and ever without use... ? No... of course i wouldn't use them for sth silly since that would be wasting.

Asking questions to gain your knowledge of a subject that kind of mind boggles you is always greater for ones brain then a mere 2 point answer in yahoo.
The real life is out there
Knowledge is everything

I agree.
It's fun asking question's, and it's nice getting answers, too.
Good to answer questions too, though, because that keeps the site going, and it is nice to be able to help people out with their questions.
