For traveling to foreign countries, the easiest way to get Hapatitis A I heard is through contaminated water and raw food. If you drink bottled water and eat cooked food, are you then pretty much safe from getting it, or can you still get it even if the cooked food was prepared in contaminated water?

There is still a possiblitie of getting it is someone who has it touches your food and doesn't wash their hands. Especially if they don't wash their hand after going to the bathroom. Just keep handleing your own food and washing hands before you eat...and you should be good. Heck Hep A can be found here in the USA too. There was an incident in my kids childcare one year. The care taker had it and everyone had to go get their shots. Not too fun if you ask me.

Yes. This is possible because hepitatis A is a naked virus one of the hardest to rid. It can last a long time in the wild, and needs to be cooked a a high level to be disposed. Trust me I went through a microbiology class.

Hep A is a commonly spread disease, relatively mild, from flu/cold like symptoms to full blown jaundice..usually lasts one to two weeks, can be passed like a cold, or from food/water. If you have not come down with symptoms, relax. Good luck

you are pretty safe but there is never no guarantee unless you can observe every meal cooked every time you eat something. all so don't use the ice cubes in any of your drinks.

You can get it from food if someone preparing it, wiped their butt after a bm and didn't wash their hands.
