I want to get a wallaby (and yes, they make good pets!) but my fence is only 3 and a half feet tall, I know they could jump over it. What is a moderately cheap way to make the fence taller without buying an entirely new fence? Serious answers, please! :)

You aren't going to be able to have a wallaby in Michigan, it will freeze.

Actually, they don't make good pets. No exotic animals make good pets. They should always be considered wild animals. I've had wallabies. No, they will not freeze in Michigan, just don't keep them outside if it gets below 25 degrees. What kind are you getting? Dama or Bennets? I'd recommend a Bennets...dama's are very skittish. You also need to get at least 2 if you don't plan to be home 24/7...they are a mob animal (a group of roos and wallies is called a mob).

well, use wire fencing. make it AT LEAST 6 feet tall. I really wasn't kidding when I say animals can jump over 6 feet. the wire that you use should have very small mesh. you don't want your wallaby to trap in the mesh. they are really curious and will try to scratch those mesh. be sure to get your wallaby a house and shade to hide. he will be nice and happy and won't want to get out. I am not sure if you have done this already, but be sure to check with your local aniaml control to see if you are allowed to have an exotic animal. Some states require you to get a permit.

don't get a wallaby in the first place. They may make good pets, but only if you're in the right environment, and believe me, you arent
