......but is having a hard time with the language. How can I make her feel more comfortable? And what are some good things to talk about with her? I know alot of things I would like to talk about with her, but sense she doesn't understand alot of English I need to keep in simple....so any ideas?

get her a german/american dictionary. Talk normally, then when one of you says something that the other doesn't understand, pull out the dictionary. It will help her learn english better, and you might learn some german in the process.

Go to a bookstore and get a picture language book. That way, she can point to a picture, learn the English word and you can still communicate.

Talk about her home. Everyone likes to talk about themselves. Teach each other the other's language.

hook her up with a guy that speaks german and english so you can communicate with her
