a girl with a girl is ok by me i mean it i dont mine in a none sex way ive just never understood why that in a girl and girl relationship that one of the girls dress and act like the man because if thats what thay like then it must be men thay want int it?

i definately do not like my girls to be "like" men in character, it puts me right off.
plus there's the saying...butch in the streets, femme between the sheets.
am neither arthur nor martha, so i dont fit into any category...am just swot.

I've yet to meet a lesbian who wanted to be a man or with a man. Clothes, well, most women wear jeans and tees and what once upon a time would have been considered men's clothes. Some look more fem in them, others don't -- which holds for straight women as well! LOL, I've known total straight women who are more butch than the average butch lesbian. True cross dressing is being a tranvestite and that hasn't much to do with sexual orientation. Believing you are a man in a woman's body is being transgender, again it has little to do with orientation. Sorry, you're running with a stereotype.

why do some women go for really hard looking men with skin heads and tattoos?? why do byker chicks always go for biker guys?? and what about the new man that moisturises and dresses well and coordinated and stylish?? maybe the women really want women so they choose feminine men?? Hmmmm lets think on this for a minute......... once the clothes come off they prefer what is underneath and maybe when the clothes are on they prefer what is inside. there are not two types of fashion for gay women, there is as much variety in the lesbian world as there is in the straight world and the only reason this question keeps getting asked is this particular type of couple is the only one you can identify. you know that cute pair of girls you and ya mates oogle over on a saturday night..... the really fit ones.... how do you know they are not gay..... we are every where and come in all different guises!!!!

I actually wear mens clothes, I'm a big girl not fat just big enough to kick some a*s if need be. Hee, Hee... I feel comfortable wearing baggie shorts of Levi's with my Harley Boots. I dress in fashion and I'm just am not comfortable in fem clothes. Everyone has taste and would like to be comfortable. Men's clothes fit me better than women's, I'm more stalky and thick, I would look like I'm in drag wearing a dress. Trust me!! But my girl has the build for fem clothes. " But between the sheets we are equal". We both take on the same responsibilities, I cook and do dishes and also bring home more bacon. But if she gets a promotion, I wouldn't care if she was the primary bread earner.

This deals with what it means to be a man and what it means to be a woman... Is working and bringing home the bread the job of the man? Cause there are plenty of women that bring home the bacon now. And what about staying at home with the kids? Plenty of fathers that are doing that now. Is doing chores the job of the woman? The lines that once drew the difference between men and women are becoming blurred. It wasn't long ago that women weren't allowed to wear pants and now look... As for the issue of femme and butch relationships I know of only a few. I know many more lesbians that are femme-femme and butch-butch. I think we just take more notice of the butch-femme relationships because of the media's portrayal of lesbianic relationships.

Everybody has their own idea how they feel inside.
Some women feel very feminine (NOT ME EVER!!!) and some women feel like they can compete in a man's world (Nt me) and there are those of us some place along the spectrum. Some very feminine women will only date other very feminine women, some wnat their partner more butchy. I have noticed many couples who both look kind of butchy. Don't generalize. Just remember that some straight women want big bad bikers types while others want the booky nerdy type.

you've asked the million dollar question. I'm a gay man...and I have a lot of lesbian friends...my best friend (lesbian) and I have been wondering why the hottest girl in the bar will be with the fattest ugliest bull dyke. I am the most un-stereotypical person I know..I really read into things and I've been asking this question for several years. My friend...who is feminine, beautiful, intelligent, etc...will get hit on by fat ugly bull dyke's 99% of the time..she can't find anyone like herself to save her life...if she does meet someone she likes..they usually already have a fat ugly bull dyke as a girlfriend. What's up with that?....I'll keep up with your answers...I'm curious to know what it is...lol....FYI...(when I say fat ugly bull dykes...I really don't mean that in a bad way...I have a lot of fat ugly bull dyke friends who are happy to be known as that.)

I love women!
No matter what they wear or how they act they are beautiful to me. I think that the clothes and how more masculine women dress is just personal preference.

Okay, so I would have to say that I think you are basing your question on observations that are not complete.
(Not to be insulting) but I don't think that you know much about lesbian relationships, if you did, then you would relize that there arn't any (or are a minority) relationships like that. I know of many lezbians that would just as well pine over Anglina Jolie then look at Rosie O'Donald. (I hope they don't hate me!) but yeah.

Well, I LOVE the tall k.d. lang type, with very short hair, NO makeup, plain clothes...it's a personal preference. I would not look twice at a femme, but a butch girl who is tall and slightly overweight will get my attention every time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But if a good disposition and personality is not there, forget it.
