I have had and recorded 1000s of dreams and in these dreams I have met and sometimes had something to do with gods and goddesses, who correspond to Jung's archetypes. I have had a series of dreams of the Mother goddess and it seemed that everytime I watched Kathryn Grayson movies, that old movie star who could sing so beautifully (I loved her singing!) that I was relating more and more to the Mother Goddess in my dreams. The time came when I became dangerously close to being absorbed by the Mother goddess (who in my dreams came to me as Kathryn Grayson) and in one of the last dreams a lot of females rushed at me and I got the distinct feeling that they were going to castrate me! I was very much in love with 'Kathryn Grayson' but I became scared and since I do have the ability to
STOP if I needed to, I STOPPED WATCHING KATHRYN GRAYSON MOVIES AND ALL MOVIES OF BLACK-HAIRED BEAUTIFUL WOMEN (= the Mother goddess). During the time I was falling more and more towards this beautiful singer K.G. I would hear a very seductive feminine voice say "Ha Ha!" and
"Well!" At any rate I stopped cold and cut off for a long time and then later when she appeared in my dream world she was cold and distant to me. This great power of the Feminine to attract (and absorb!) might be why many males are instinctively afraid of a goddess.
However, since then I have been relating to an absolutely beautiful golden haired female whom in my dream world males simply flock to. They all want to kiss her (and kiss her and kiss her! - Me, too.) I have a long history of dream events with this goddess who has all of the qualities of the mythological goddess Venus and corresponds to the description of the nature of the planet Venus in astrology. We are very fond of each other but she is inclined to be promiscuous and altho it took me a long time I have been able to adapt to this condition. I came to see that She was very dependent upon me and so I had to become responsible and find out how to take care of Her. We have done many things together and had many amorous adventures. She will come to me in dreams and take the name of any blonde movie star (Marilyn Monroe, Renee Zellweger, etc) or just appear as a golden glowing beautiful female. I have studied both volumes of
Mikhael Aivanhov's LOVE AND SEXUALITY and have learned that the masculine and the feminine must keep a certain 'precious distance' from each other and not get too close. With fire and water alone you can get the fire turning the water to steam or the water putting out the fire. But if you put the water in a pan and heat it up this water, the fire doesn't destroy the water and the water doesn't put the fire out. So I have learned about this 'certain necessary distance' Now I am no longer afraid of a goddess - of getting too close to Her. I get very close but not TOO close. Hope this answers your question. Robin

I think it has to do with the idea that has been pushed for so many years that women are weak or inferior. To have a goddess up there with a god would mean that women are equal to men. It would also make women a part of the Divine.
Well this scares a few men, even in this day and age.

**Why are so many men afraid of a goddess?
aahahaha
Good one.
That's like asking most men why they are afraid of Mike Tyson.
They're not really afraid , they just do not want to fight him.
A Goddess is a powerful being.
Goddess give life to the human race, pleasure and a whole lot of other stuff.
Sometimes a little fear and reverence is a good thing.
Have a nice day

Because the Legends of Goddesses are all very Powerful. I do not know I have never met one. Men are afraid of anything more powerful than them.

Because men do not like to have their intellectual and physical dominance challenged by someone of the other sex. Most Goddess can debate a man intellectually and challenge him physically, men are not used to having the opposite sex be great then them so they are afraid to have a goddess beat them in either arena or both arenas! If you truly are a goddess then you will have to be patent and wait for or search out that man who is not afraid and welcomes that challenge.

God Goddess Don't you know that there are no opposites. Your engaging in resentment. Taking sides.
" women used to know how to run the world, but when they moved into the secondary energy position of doing the job of a man who is in fact just the agent of the female power. women lose there real power and become resentful. Spengler said in a telling sentence that got into me when I read it;" man makes history.Women is history"She is what it is about, and the man fashions the Field within witch she can produce history and be history." Joseph Campbell She is the throne of the GOd she is the power behind the whole thing From Isis holding the pharoe to Kali standing on shiva Shiva can do nothing without her power to Mary holding Jesus to pictures of american presidents with wives standing behind them.
Most men know that women are in charge. But when you say Goddess your just acting like the male who says God. Your acting in the secondary postion. Women is what it is all about. Women have there bodies to tell them that. Men need the hunt men need Ritual to relize the feminine in themselves. So when men and maybe its just the man your mad at are afraid of the Goddes there afraid of the truth.

They're afraid of the concept of a goddess to equal God because that would mean that just about everything their religion has told them is a lie, and their whole lives spent giving up fun things to obey his will would be pointless, and they would percieve themselves as the petty insignificant pricks they are instead of important, powerful people obeying an important divine task. That sort of truth can be too much for a lot of people to handle.
