I entered this under Higher Education, but no one answered it.
I need to find out more about the first Governor, Jose Figueroa, when it was Alta California; before California and the few other states became part of the U.S.A., and was Mexican Land.
I've read many history books, and can only find him in a few. Before becoming Governor of Alta California he was Governor of Sonora Mexico. He was sent to places to fix up messes others made, kind of like a Human resources (HR)
I have to do this for a class assignment, I just did one on the first Americans, Native Nation, and one on Early settlers; the vikings and the supposed Vinland map, and Chinese suppose discovery...both after 12th century B.C. and before the 15th century B.C.
I also did a paper on Russian settlers, Dutch, and the Irish…the Spanish settlers...how slavery brought African...and so on...
Now I need to do a paper on a Seemingly forgotten figure of any era, as long as she/he was involved within the now U.S.
